This is the first I have heard of the fund raiser, but being gone on vaction for 3 weeks tends to put you out of the loop!!.  I encourage everyone to attend and donate to the F.D.  This is a great bunch of guys and gals who give up their free time to serve the people of Anna. Police officers and firemen have a natural rivalry and we kid around with each other on a daily basis but when I've needed them, sometimes at 4 am, they are always willing to come out and help, no questions asked. 

I will be returning to duty this Saturday, if I can get over this upper respiratory infection I brought back from Mt. Rushmore.  If Y'all need anything just hollar at me!!

wow there is a lot of smack talking here so let me tell you guys something

1 there are 3 paid guys two firefighters and the fire marshall they work monday thru friday 8-5 any other time than that you will be getting vol. fireman emts and paramedics that show up for every possiable thing you can think of

   i have fallen and cant get up
   i do not feel well
   i am having trouble breathing
   i burnt something on the sove
   automatic fire alarms from cooking or turning on the heater for the first time in the winter
   assualts
   attempted suicides
   kitten stuck in a pipe

then there are the calls that are more life threating

    fully involved structure fire with a person traped in side 10:00 am    happend this year
    head on accident 2 dead 5:45 Am
    motorcycle accident  1 dead  time 6:45 pm

we are normal people that have family's wife's children dogs and mortgages that if we get hurt helping out our city on our own time that might not get paid because we all have jobs just like most of you that pay the bills.

there have been other events this year that were put on by either the fd or other groups in this city to help raise money for us and if you live in this town and talk to anyone or read the paper or shop at any local place you can see these things posted i beleive they were even posted on this site.

we are people that enjoy helping people our city each other you can see a sheild sticker on each one of our cars it would not hurt to say thanks because when you all were sleeping last night at 12:00 11 of your neighbors or freinds or family was in Melissa puting out a fire and the PDQ gas station not getting home till 2:30 in the morning then like you got up and went to work to provide for our familys

we put in hrs and hrs of time helping out anyone, training and doing fundraisers so we can keep doing this day in and day out.

well i have ranted to long already but i would like to leave you with a prayer that hangs in every firefighters house yes even mine

And the Kids LOVED the Pancakes!!  Great event!!

It was a wonderful event.  I saw lots of pancakes going down the hatch.  And as always, the firemen/emt's were very pleasant.  All the kids had fun "touring" the fire truck.  I think my favorite was when our littlest picked up the MARSHALL"s helmet to see how he looked!  If he only knew......

Thanks Anna Fire and Rescue.  We will be there everytime you have an event.  We appreciate all you do and want to make sure you have the equipment needed to do your job safely.
