Electricity that is wasted by Anna ISD
« on: March 06, 2010, 02:39:17 PM »
What is up with the security lights coming around Anna High School?  They are coming on at 4:30 in the afternoon as well as the lights for the track.  That is a waste of our tax payer money.   Lets get someone out there to adjust the timers, especially since we are turning the clocks up an hour next week....

Speaking of wasting electricity...

Did anyone ever stop to think that, with construction of the new high school, this is a prime opportunity to incorporate some alternative energy measures (compact wind turbines or solar arrays, natural lighting, etc) and maybe even have the govt. foot the bill with all of these green energy initiatives? Hell, even if the govt didn't help with the green construction tab, it is just smarter in the long run. If Greensburg, Kansas can go green, why can't we?

The school district has invested in a herd of hamsters and wheels that are attached to mini electric generators.
