I'm glad I'm not the only one completely lost here....

I see people on 4 wheelers from time to time, and not once has 'drug runner' come to mind.  And why the talk of the 12 gauge??
Sorry for the mixing of topics.  Current carrying capacity of a 12 gauge wire is about 40amps. lol

Was told long ago (years ago) by the chief this was going on.  The PD would pursue but would typically lose them since they would cut through yards, across fields, etc.  Not that all 4-wheelers are running drugs, but you've gotta ask yourself why adults are riding 4-wheelers in town at mid-night with no lights on.  I guess you can come up with other explanations, but one of the explanations stated as a fact came from the PD.

I guess that makes some sense, but my first inclination would be drunk idiots.

Yep, drunk idiots comes to my mind too.  BUT, that could have something to do with every single guy in a 6 house radius riding my son's tiny dirt bike up and down the street on Christmas Eve the year Santa brought it.  I vaguely remember some excuse about making sure there was no air in the fuel lines or something.  :P

You know, I've been wondering about all those helicopters flying by... they must be the DEA coming in to take care of all the drug runners. :)

For quite a while, there were military looking choppers hovering across the area.  Haven't seen them in a couple of years, but was told they were using heat sensing devices to locate meth operations.

Drug runners? That is just silly.  The preferred delivery method in rural areas is by car, or maybe by truck, it's much less conspicuous that way.  Operating an unlicensed vehicle on public streets draws cops like flies on poop.  Why would you want to do that if you are carrying contraband?

Apparently it opens up escape routes which would be otherwise unavailable.

I'm holding out for the personal, strap-on helicopter before I start running drugs.

Of course then the Anna PD will be issued personal anti-aircraft missiles.

I can see this is leading to a "Hot Shots" style drug war, with the ATVs, helicopters, personal heli-thing, the cops holding anti-aircraft missles... lol.  Makes me want to get popcorn and a lawn chair, and sit outside of Oak Hollow.
