CHRISTMAS TREE FARM in Van Alstyne

We are preparing to trek far and wide to Van Alstyne to forage for, and cut down, our Christmas tree.  The "usual suspects" all go there, and we had a blast last year.

Very reasonable prices for their trees.  The also have the pricey ones that have been shipped in and a beautiful farm.

Wintergreen Farm  - Choose-and-cut or we'll cut it for you.  gift shop specializes in handcrafted ornaments, gifts and wreaths, jams and jellies; tractor drawn hayrides to and from the field, Walking trails through the woods  Hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and coffee are complimentary. Tree shaking and bailing are also available. New indoor restroom facilities. picnic area, wreaths,

From Dallas- take highway 75 north to exit 51, Van Alstyne, Texas. A Mobil station with food courts will be directly in front of you at the stop sign. Turn right (east) onto farm road (F.M.) 121 and proceed to the next stop light, which is six tenths of a mile. At the light turn right (south) and go two blocks on Hwy. 5 to the next stop light. The Post office will be on your left. Turn left (east) onto farm road (F.M.) 121 and proceed 8 and a half miles to Wintergreen Tree Farm. The farm will be on your left. Open: for business Friday the day after Thanksgiving. Our hours for business are Friday Saturday, Sunday and Monday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm We are closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thur. We will close December 23 at 5:00 pm or until sold out.
Christmas tree varieties:
U-Choose & Cut your own: Virginia and Loblolly Pines 5' to 9'.
PreCut varieties: Frazer, noble firs, balsam & Cannan firs 9 to 11".
Pets are allowed, but please keep them on a leash as the woods are dense and we don't want anyone to lose their pets.

Will they help strap it onto the car, or do I have to get a truck.

they will strap it on the car for you.  Since yours is new though, I would put a sheet or something under it so the roof doesn't get scratched.
