Our idea of customer satisfaction is quite different.  Your tone when you called was very caustic and you were trying to convence us that it is normal for a pizza with additonal toppings to be soggy.  Yes, you did refund our money, with our emphatic encouragement.

However, our previous pizza with additional toppings was not soggy, nor have we ever had a pizza from any other establishment with extra toppings that was that soggy.

That being said, if your attitude and tone of voice not been so caustic, we would certainly have understood the differences of opinion and returned to your establishement.    Approach is everything!!

Caustic?  I know I didn't hear the conversation you say you had with Tony, however... caustic is the word you choose to use?

Let's see..

caustic , mordant , acrid , scathing mean stingingly incisive. caustic suggests a biting wit <caustic comments>. mordant suggests a wit that is used with deadly effectiveness <mordant reviews of the play>. acrid implies bitterness and often malevolence <acrid invective>. scathing implies indignant attacks delivered with fierce severity <a scathing satire>.

I realize I do not know you, however, the word caustic seems to actually describe someone who would come into this forum, and make their first post an extremely bitter one.  To come in here with the intention of perhaps destroying someone's business with your words.  That seems pretty caustic to me.

Perhaps you had been having a bad day when you dined there.  Maybe the meal wasn't exactly the way you preferred, but to intentionally belittle someone is pretty caustic, in my opinion.

I'm not trying to start an arguement with you, I simply believe you've chosen the wrong word to use as a definition.

Mamma Mia's is a safe bet when youre looking for a good pizza or sandwich.  Their lunch special is excellent and priced right.

I have been to Italian Villa on three occasions, and the food has been great as well as service.  I like the Calzones.  My teen daughters have had some girls nights out there as well.   Food is not a complaint of mine, but I do have one question?????  The last two times that we have been, upon entering the door, the smell is a little unappetizing.  I have a sensitive smeller, and it smelled of sewer back up, or something.  That is a detterent for me, even if I love the food.

You know what I have noticed, that smell is there on the nights they have some sort of fish as the special.  Now, I am not saying anything about their food, I just can't stand fish!  I had just decided it was that being cooked in large quantities and my sensitive nose...

I am sarcastic and have a smart ass attitude.  It's a natural defense against drama, bullshit, and stupidity...

I smelt that when they 1st opened but did not smell it a few months as that was the last time I went.  If is going to smell like that off and on I will go to one of the many other Italian places around here.

Just in from IV.  Split a chicken parm with the wife and gotta say we were a little disappointed when we got the bill.   $2 "Split" fee on the bill.  I think next time I'll just order a tea and snack off her plate.  Also, I guess I haven't ever looked at the bill that close because I didn't realize they charged for that bowl of red sauce we asked for with our bread.  I had already declared I was going to stop ordering tea at restaurants because it seems to have gotten too expensive but haven't really put that into practice yet.  I did expect to see the extra side salad charge, but otherwise it just seems like nickel & diming.

Previously our  meal at the Italian Villa and was satisfactory.  Unfortunately, today we ordered a supreme pizza which was soggy and undercooked.  We called to request a replacement, and to say they were not receptive to that idea is stating it mildly.  However, with encouragement on our part, they reluctantly agreed.  To our disappointment, the second pizza, although cooked slightly more, was also extremely soggy.  In fact so soggy, it was soaking through the box.

Upon taking the pizza back and asking for a refund, we were again greeted with denials that there was anything wrong with the pizza, but did get a refund, reluctantly.  When the manager came on duty, he called and was very rude and expressed his displeasure at us!!

Hummm, let's see....We as consumers, love to complain, love to make three trips back to a vendor to get a pizza that is even slightly palatable, love to be treated as idiots, because after all, we really don't know how a pizza is suppose to be prepared or taste.

Believe me, we would not have said anything if this pizza was remotely edible, and had we been treated with more respect we would certainly return.  A trip to McKinney doesn't seem to far for a good meal at this point.

I love their Pizza. I eat there 2 to 3 times a month. I also love that the owner of the business of the week to get beaten up on this forum was able to defend himself. This is just another cry baby person on here who's life is so miserable that the only way for them to feel better is to hurt others. Stop your bitching and buy a Red Baron from now on.

Jim, you're a dick.  That post you quoted was from March 2009.  Just after 9/11 happened.  Can't we concentrate on what is important in our lives?
