Our idea of customer satisfaction is quite different. Your tone when you called was very caustic and you were trying to convence us that it is normal for a pizza with additonal toppings to be soggy. Yes, you did refund our money, with our emphatic encouragement.
However, our previous pizza with additional toppings was not soggy, nor have we ever had a pizza from any other establishment with extra toppings that was that soggy.
That being said, if your attitude and tone of voice not been so caustic, we would certainly have understood the differences of opinion and returned to your establishement. Approach is everything!!
Caustic? I know I didn't hear the conversation you say you had with Tony, however...
caustic is the word you choose to use?
Let's see..
caustic , mordant , acrid , scathing mean stingingly incisive. caustic suggests a biting wit <caustic comments>. mordant suggests a wit that is used with deadly effectiveness <mordant reviews of the play>. acrid implies bitterness and often malevolence <acrid invective>. scathing implies indignant attacks delivered with fierce severity <a scathing satire>.
I realize I do not know you, however, the word
caustic seems to actually describe someone who would come into this forum, and make their first post an extremely bitter one. To come in here with the intention of perhaps destroying someone's business with your words. That seems pretty
caustic to me.
Perhaps you had been having a bad day when you dined there. Maybe the meal wasn't exactly the way you preferred, but to intentionally belittle someone is pretty caustic, in my opinion.
I'm not trying to start an arguement with you, I simply believe you've chosen the wrong word to use as a definition.
