TV Repair
« on: September 21, 2007, 08:45:03 AM »
I am still looking for someone to repair my HD bigscreen TV.  It is a rear projection and the convergence board has gone out.  To get someone out here from Dallas is $150.00 before they even look at the problem.  If they have to order a part and come back it will be anouther $150 for the return trip plus parts and labor.

Someone had mentioned a guy in Howe, but I can't find him.  Does anyone have his name?

Any other referrals??

Don't use the guy that devnoel used to fix his TV.  I'm not sure who it was.  The fix for the convergence board was to replace a couple capacitors at a cost of $600.  Have you tried Googling for info on the TV model and fix for it?  If it's some simple cap replacement, I can probably help with that for free...
