Want the new car, but not the hassle?
« on: November 17, 2009, 11:18:36 PM »
Let me do the legwork for you... Research to Negotiation.

I acquire reports to find the incentives dealers won't tell you about.
I obtain quotes from multiple dealers, and can assure you that you will NOT be nickle-n-dimed to death by the dealer add-ons.

My website is currently under construction, but please feel free to email me at AutoHuntress@gmail.com for information.

I will work for YOU, not the dealership!
Ask me how I can help you feel your best.

My average savings negotiated comes to almost $3800 under the MSRP & Dealer Add-on pricing. I've been negotiating car deals since 2000, and my record time is less than 1 hour in the dealership from start to finish on a vehicle right off the showroom floor. We won't skimp on the extra bells & whistles either ---- you just won't pay a mark-up of 300%!

My favorite sex position is the Toyota - I wont stop no matter how loud you scream!!

NEVER buy a brand new car. BUY a used one. We negotiated a great deal last year on a one year old car. We played hard ball and told them that we could only pay a certain amount and no more. They agreed and we got a steal! Of course, this was when the dealerships were doing horrible and they wanted to get rid of thier inventory. The car only had around 25,000 miles on it, was a year old, had only been a rental car and we paid about $4,000 under what it as worth.

Had it checked over by an independent mechanic and it checked out clean as a whistle. Still had the warranty on it when we got it and any little thing I didn't like was fixed at no charge.

what do you charge as a fee?

My fees depends on several factors. There are folks that want to buy a truck or economy car, where I can save them thousands. In that case there would be a small flat fee to cover research reports, and I'd take a small percentage of the savings. If the person wanted to buy a vehicle with higher demand than supply, then it is apparent the savings I'd be aiming for is on the extras and getting the best possible deal for the vehicle they want. I assist clients in buying new or used vehicles. The pricing schedule is just a bit different, since there will be a Carfax report ordered as well.

I do this for fun, because I love playing the game. I stand to make a couple hundred dollars and save you several THOUSAND.

It is fun to play the game.  You just have to have the demeanor for it.

WVU fan: If you are completely comfortable doing the research & playing the game yourself, then my services would not be for you. You made a great deal!

I'm here to help folks that get a knot in the pit of their stomach every time they think of stepping foot on the showroom floor. My services are also for people who feel that they their wallets have been hijacked in the past.

I help men and women, but I firmly believe that women are still walking targets at dealerships and body shops. My goal is to make sure that my client is treated fairly and given the best deal possible. I go with them to the dealership to close the deal. I'll even meet them if they'd just like to do a test drive and do not feel comfortable being preyed upon by the salesmen while they are there. After witnessing my techniques, my hope is that my client will never have to use my services again. They will know how to control the sale.

I am not a dealer/broker, although I have had many job offers. I just do not wish to be on the Dark Side. LOL. I'm simply a "closer" that loves to help others.

So true. I am at an advantage, because I am not only a woman, but a Stay-at-Home Mom. This means that I am completely underestimated when I walk into the dealership. When I get into a car, and the salesman immediately shows me the lighted vanity mirror, I know I've got him/her RIGHT where I want him/her.  ;)

Consumer reports has a great service just like this...if you are willing to pay 40$ and it prints in a very easy to read chart. I took my dealership to task; they were afraid very afraid....it was fun.

P.S. I wouldnt take a rental for free. And 25K and only 1 yr old?

Consumer Reports is just one of the reports I use to make my deals. They have good information about crash tests and depreciation, but their numbers are still a bit high. I use at least 3 different research companies to formulate my game plan. And again, if you like doing the research yourself, getting dealers to compete for your business and then closing the deal - you don't need me.

I spent two years looking for the car I wanted. I knew what I wanted and how much I wanted to pay for it. It took alot of patience.

Awesome! The key is that you get THE car you want, and that a year later...you are still happy with the deal. I can't tell you how many people I know who have left the dealership thinking they got a great deal, to realize 2 weeks later that they got jipped somehow (i.e. pay 300% over on the add-ons or the final numbers on their paperwork didn't match up to what they agreed upon). I've had all these things happen to me when I was young. I learned the hard way, but my clients don't have to.

This is something I would be interested in.  We would like to get a 4-Runner SR5 with a bunch of options in 2010.
