Curious about something. I believe the City Council uses "Roberts Rules of Order", correct?
If so, it would probably be to the benefit of those on the council to get themselves very familiar with how to use it their advantage.
For example, from what I've understood so far, a motion to reconsider could have been made, even after the initial vote, so it could be placed in the minutes and on the next agenda.
Anyway, what is done is done. But just in case there is a next time...

Speaking of (and to quote) RRoO: [It's a] violation of the fundamental right of a deliberative assembly to have questions thoroughly discussed before it is called upon to take action upon them.

I can't speak for RBO, but Daisy is too disgusted with her newly elected Councilman to attend.

For anyone who got this far through this thread, I just want to say that I regret saying this.  I understand a lot more about what happened, and why it happened, with regard to his vote at City Council Tuesday night.

Darren is a good guy, and I'm sorry that I doubted that.   :-\

I'm glad I looked here first before posting.  The handout that the kids brought home from school didn't mention that the Police Department was going to be there.  I was kinda wanting to meet some of them since they are so highly discussed here.  I'll be there.
