Would I be out of line to recommend a small Harvest Fest this October (cookoffs, bake sales, arts&crafts, maybe some local FFA & farmers market participation....whatever else we can think of & throw together in time)? Would anyone even care to see something like this? I'm thinking of starting a new thread just to see what kind of interest I can spark.

While I think the idea is good, I am just not sure where to fit it in.  You already have National Night Out, 2 Fall Festivals for the schools, Homecoming, etc.

We also have 2 birthdays and our anniversary in October so our budget gets pretty thin...

I do think a back to school/Labor Day thing would be good though!
