I had someone ask me a few questions today, so I thought I'd post here.

Prices: The pricing is totally up to the seller, but from my experience, I've seen clothing go for an average of $2.50 - $3 per piece.

Items: sold are clothing from infants to Juniors, but infant and toddler clothing have the most items. Once kids get to be around 4-5 and older, they REALLY get a lot of use out of their clothing - and we only sell gently used clothes with NO stains, holes, etc.

How much money can I make?
Anyone can register to be a seller! All sellers make 60% of the price on their tag. BUT -- if you volunteer a shift for set-up or tear-down, then you make 70% on your items. AND - all volunteers get to attend the Pre-Sale that happens the night before. That means you'd get first dibs on the best items at the lowest prices!

Sweet Repeats is the only fundraiser that my MOPS group (Heart to Heart MOPS) does, and we are a non-profit group helping mommies on their journey & adventure of raising a family. The funds we raise help us hire trained childcare workers to keep our children safe as we meet each each month. It also allows us to do community service crafts like making blankets for preemies in NICU. This is a worthwhile ministry, and it is our goal to help our whole community with this sale.

NEWS FLASH!!!!

We've now raised the inventory cap to 18,000 items to allow sellers a chance to enter more items into the sale. The Spring Sale was capped at 16,000 items, but we feel that, in the new Great Hall, we have space enough to bring in more merchandise.

Register as a seller & volunteer SOON at www.sweetrepeatsmckinney.org. We will accept sellers registration for just over 2 more weeks, but you will have until the 20th or so to enter & tag your items. Check the website for details.

The best volunteer slots go fast, and volunteering is the only way to get into the Friday Night Pre-Sale to shop before everyone else. AND if you volunteer for additional shifts --- you get an extra Pre-Sale entry wristband for each shift to give to a friend!

This sale is a huge part of our ministry to the community. We are a non-profit, so that means that our entire workforce and coordination staff are volunteers. We even have folks that will pick up donations from your home, if you'd rather not deal with entering & tagging items. Just drop me a line, and I'll arrange a pick up.

*** P.S. At the Spring Sale last March, I spent $54 and got tons of dresses, tops, shorts, costumes and books for my daughter. EVEN BETTER --- I MADE $118 off of the items that I sold. The items that didn't sell, I donated and the Samaritan Inn picked them up after the sale. It was a WIN, WIN, WIN!

Hello from Sweet Repeats!

Our Event is fast approaching and we wanted to send along some helpful information.

Sweet Repeats Fall sale is September 24th , 2011.
Doors open at 7:00am. Registration for sellers is ongoing but will close on September 16th. You will still be able to enter inventory until it reaches the cap of 18,000 items.  Volunteer registration will remain open until September 22nd .  Please refer to our website for more specific information!

If you are consigning, we've included the following tips:

*    Mr.  Clean magic erasers do a brilliant job cleaning up plastic toys. A clean toy will sell much faster than something that looks used.
*   Oxy Clean Baby does a great job on those stubborn formula stains. Simple soak that yellow stain in a bowl of water with a generous supply of Oxy Clean.  (Always test on a small area first).
*    Description Fields: Use only lower case letters, this will prevent run off and printing problems
*    Discount: We highly recommend letting your items go for 1/2 price at the Noon - 3pm sale.  You will still profit, and won't have to bring items home!
*    Donate: Do you really want to lug home your items that do not sell?  Do you really want to have to store them for another year?
*    Bar Codes & Printer Settings: Make sure your printer setting is on "Grayscale, black cartridge only"
*    Barcodes must be crisp, brilliant and straight.  If you are running out of ink please change the cartridge.  Sweet Repeats has the right to refuse items where multiple barcodes are present as well as barely visible.
*    Supplies needed: 60-67 lb. white cardstock ONLY, inkjet or laser printer, safety pins, hangers, packing tape (DO NOT tape over bar codes or safety pins), zip-loc bags
*    Toy Recall: Please refer to www.cpsc.gov for the latest toy, clothing, and equipment recalls.

Additional reminders:

*    Remember, for this sale we are only accepting Fall clothing
*    There is a limit of 5 pair of shoes and also, a cap of 5 stuffed animals- choose your best
*    Sweet Repeats has the right to refuse items that are on the recall list
*    Maternity items are not accepted
*    Cribs (and portable cribs and play pens) that do not have manufacturer labels with model #s and documentation will not be accepted, Per the ban by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, no drop-side cribs will be accepted. We no longer accept any drop down cribs.

We will be capping our inventory at 18,000 items.  There is not an item limit per seller; however, sellers are encouraged to enter items in a timely manner, in order to get your items into the sale.  You can find updates to the current item count on the Seller News page of our Sweet Repeats website and also on our Facebook page.

Sellers

We will continue to provide the envelope and stamp. Yes, that’s right, no need to bring a self-addressed stamped envelope with you upon check in. We will be verifying your address during the check in process so please make sure to update your contact information. We, also, want to be sure your earnings check arrives to your current home address.
The seller’s instruction packet is a great reference for all your seller needs and questions.

Why Volunteer?

Shop First! Increase your earnings & bring a friend!

*    Shop our Volunteer Presale on Friday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
*    There are still plenty of volunteer spots available, sign up today and earn 70% of your sales!
*    Our wristband policy was a big success last sale.  You will receive one additional wristband for each extra shift worked.  For example, if you work two extra shifts, you get two extra wristbands and can bring two friends! Working these extra shifts helps ensure the success of our sale, and allows you a chance to share Friday night’s great deals and selections with your friends or family members.

We hope you will be a part of this Fall’s consignment sale! Help us advertise! Tell all your friends and neighbors about the huge selection of inventory & great buys at Sweet Repeats.

 Many Blessings,

The Sweet Repeats Team
