trick or treat in anna--what night is it?

a dumb question, i know, but we just moved here and there does not appear to be an industry standard, if you will. in ohio, it was the last thursday in october (i think to avoid drunken adult revelers). but where my husband grew up, trick-or-treating always happens ON halloween, whatsoever night of the week it may be.

I am from Ohio and ours was always the Sunday before Halloween from 3-5.  What is up with Ohio and their weird ways?
