Christmas Baking
« on: October 29, 2007, 08:54:08 AM »
I was wondering how many of the folks here would like to get together and make holiday cookies.

I would like to get something together this year for Christmas. Everyone that comes would get to take home a wide selection of treats for the family....

WE can either make the cookies in advance or make a day of it.

Everyone can bring something to help make the cookies and then we can get to cooking and talking and having fun.

I usually make Christmas Mice, Reese's cookies, My mothers Jumbo Chocolate chip cookies, chocolate pretzels, Oreo Bon Bon's, Ritz cookies, Doggy Chow, and some other things.

Let me know if y'all are interested and we can start compiling recipes and organizing the event.

Enclosed is a picture of the mice. They are so yummy!

You'll have to initiate all questions of this nature to the spousal unit, in person, no later than 30-days prior to any activity.

Thank you for your understanding.

Let us know when you are planning on doing it and we will see if we can participate.  We have a lot going on in the next couple of months but we always bake a lot of stuff for the holidays so it might be fun!

My nickname isn't "Bob  the Baker" for nothing :D

I'm thinking this could be fun. I love to bake, and school should be out by then, so I may just have the time.

we could do a cookie exchange instead.

Where everyone bakes 13 dozen of their favorite cookies and then you give 12 of yours away in baggies and get 12 mixed cookies back.  So everyone leaves with a whole lot of different cookies, but you only have to make one kind.

What do you think?

You and I are suppose to get together and make bon bon's anyway. We can make the mice the same day.

Except we can take some of the cherries and soak them in rum and then make the mice out of them. Then we can have Drunk Mice.

No Problem about the sober mice. I would not feed those to my kids. Those are adult treats.

I would like to televise this. If you women felt like it of course. I could make it a pay per view event if any or all of you felt like earning your springer beads.
