Need some suggestions of where to sell?
« on: February 17, 2010, 10:27:39 AM »
I am still looking to sell my Rustic Candle Holders and Horseshoe Crosses and Horseshoe Bugs. If anyone has any suggestions of places to sell them at I would be very grateful. I am thinking of doing McKinney Trades Days this Spring (hopefully when it is warmer) and the Spring Fling for Joe K Bryant. Any other suggestions?

How about Etsy?  I hear that's a GOLDMINE for artsy-crafty/one-off stuff.

Was just about to recommend http://Etsy.com, but then saw ehowton recommended it, so I can't in good conscience do that now.   ;)

I have looked at Etsy.com.. I am thinking of doing that. But my issue is that it says its FREE but then they ask for a Credit Card # and say that you will be charged 20 cents per item. Not that I can't do that. But also I need to know if my prices are too much. I went on Etsy and saw some people that have items like mine for alot less. If someone can look at my blog and tell me .. Am I tooooo high or just right or too low that would be great..... ?

What's your website and I'll look.  I'm in the JK fair so I'll see you there, I use to sell on Etsy but it's so overcrowded with bow makers that I just started my own website and a fanpage on facebook, I've gotten more orders on these two sites than I ever did with Etsy.

I am using a blog for my website because I don't know how to make a website. (I am not very computer literate)

I am 98% sure that we will be at Spring Fling. I just have to get busy and start making some candle holders and crosses and bugs.

I LOVE that store!  I think she makes most of her stuff, but I would definitely call and ask.

It is officially called "Deb's Wood Plus" and is on Hwy 5 just past Stephens St.  It is just behind the gas station that is in downtown VA.

I have talked to them before and they were not interested. I sometimes go in there to buy my horseshoes or my stars when I run out and I have to make something quick. I wish that Anna could do a arts & craft fair or a trades day... I wonder if there would be anyone interested in something like that?

Elmonts farmers market in VA. They have all kinds of crafts. Might work?
