Showing off
« on: June 11, 2008, 05:36:12 PM »
Well, I finally got my Dad's quilt finished.  It seemed to take forever. So, here are a couple of pictures.  The color is a bit off in one of them, but the quilt is white and blues.

so many little squares, did you had quilt or machine quilt?  Do you know about the quilt shop in McKinney and Celeste?   I too am a quiliter, but most of mine are wall hangings.

It was done by machine and the squares were done by making strips in the color combos, then cutting the strips themselves. A lot faster then cutting out 2-1/2 inch squares and sewing each together.

 ;)

And I've seen the quilting shop in McKinney. I think it's across from Walgreens? I may have to stop there some day.

And thanks.

Angi, the best shop is downtown, Happiness is Quilting, they are glad to see you there, very welcoming and will help you if you need it, even though you may not have gotten your fabric from them.  Super bunch of ladies.

Great work Angi!

Tell your mom to go and adopt a son-in-law for herself.

Geesh, some people are NEVER happy!  I bet your dad is though, if you got married you would have made that quilt for your husband and not him.  ;)
