I am not sure, but you can go on www.annaisd.net and probably find out all that information!

There's an AYSA page, but it doesn't seem to have very up to date info.

Here it is, April 11, 2009, and it doesn't seem like this  AYSA page has been thoroughly updated in months. My daughter is on the Anna Angels U10 Girls Soccer team and this website still has ENROLLMENT information. Their season ends in three weeks! Does anyone have any idea how many girls signed up for the U10 (ages 7 through 9) soccer this Spring? Or, is there only one team?

My daughter's team has only 12 players and it may very well drop to 11. We started the season with 13. Unfortunately, we started the season with only 3 experienced players, making us the most inexperienced U10 Girls soccer team in the whole region. I'm sad to say that our girls haven't won a single game and have only scored one goal all season. But these girls have a mountain of heart and iron will. I can't really blame the couple of players we've lost because it can be very easy to get that "loser" mentality when you take such a horrific beating each and every weekend. If anyone sees one of our girls donning their purple, black and white jerseys about town, please give them a word of encouragement.

Amazingly enough, nearly every team member has given word they will be back next Fall. I'm so proud of them, and our entire community should be too!!!

We actually fall under Texoma League so most of the team info is on their site......

I go to the TSA website for anything I need to know for the same reason you've posted. The AYSA sites rarely have current information on them. www.texomasoccer.org

Information on the site is reported as it is given from the commissioners.  Baseball does not want it on there because parents would view it and sometimes they play Van Alstyne in Princeton and the parents would go to VA even though their game was in Princeton.  So to keep folks in the right places it is not posted.  Soccer does not post their information because the league they play in updates that information.  Basketball was submitting their information and it was being updated on the AYSA site but then their league started to take that over and reported everything to their own website.  Football also has a website for their league and all standings can be found there as well.

The AYSA website is updated as information is given - if you can not find an answer or have a question all the commissioners information is under AYSA Board - you can contact them there.

So what is the point of having an AYSA website if you can't do a "one stop shopping" for information.  It sounds like we need to get people in there that will keep the community up-to-date.

You're absolutely right -- if the information is not going to be aggregated onto the AYSA site regularly then the AYSA site needs to be little more than a spash page with links to the sites that do contain the information that visitors are looking for.

Links suck.  We shouldn't call it the 'web' or something.  Every single homepage ought to contain every bit of information so no ones has to ever click anywhere else!

Really hit us hard that my kid's team only got to play 6 games because of the rain.   Strykers won the first 3 games..then. pfft after the 3 week rain delay.  Oh well.
