Hi, my name is Lauren Lovato, and I was told by Rodney Chavez that I am coaching the boys 5U team. I called last night around 9pm because I have not recieved a list of any of the boys names and numbers, I just know that there are 6 boys on the team. So as soon as I get the list of names I will start calling all the parents so we can set up practices. I know I am going by Rodney's house later today to pick up the equipment, so I'm sure I will have the list by then.

Other than that, anyone want to put in some feedback on potential practice times or day?

Ok cool! I know we haven't heard from our daughters coach yet either, so we were kind of waiting to see when they schedule practice so we can coordinate between the two of them. But other than that, we will probably have the practices over here at the new fields by the highschool. If you want to send me your number, email me at laurenrey80@yahoo.com.

We also signed our youngest son 3 year old to play on I'm assuming on 5U.  my wife signed him up at the same time as our oldest son. In which they told her he could play!  But turns out they didn't have enough players to create a team.   After waiting over 3 months and playing phone tag with Chavez and the sports president we still haven't recieved our refund.  yet again was told he "anna sports president" was going to hand deliver it yesterday 10/27/2011,  surprise never did! We have never yelled or talked to them in a disrespectful manner,  but keep being told be patient "3 MONTHS" how much more patient can we be!

Did anyone else have this problem,  or am I just this lucky?

Truley sad thought, cause my older son wanted to play Basketball this season, but I'll be damned if I give them more money when they owe me money!!!

Unfortunately, not unusual.  My child (and another child on his team) played winter soccer, and signed up for spring soccer.  Due to scheduling/management problems, both season ended up overlapping, so we asked for our money back for the spring soccer that we couldn't play.  That was March.

Neither family has gotten a refund.  Unfortunately, dealing with AYSA soccer can be a very difficult process.  We have chosen to not play soccer with AYSA and will most likely be playing McKinney soccer.

I had the same problem getting my refund.  When I did sign my child up for another sport with AYSA, i told them I was owed a refund therefore we could call it even.  They didn't like that, but they got over it.  Good Luck!!

If I'm understanding this statement in particular, and the thread as a whole -  the governing agency is, either through deliberate malice (confidence scams) or gross incompetence (shoddy bookkeeping, time management/personnel issues) unwilling and/or unable to make/comprehend legal restitution?  Am I missing something?  What the hell?

I'll go with gross incompetence.  I don't think they are organized enough to pull off a scam.
