There was once a website called http://keepannagrowing.com that would probably have all that info.

That is an absolute shame that website no longer exists! Someone had told me they saw an artist rendering of the new high school, which was very impressive, as well as a concept drawing for a new city hall/town square. Now this came as a total shock to me because at the time, I had to be informed by this person that the cranes working north of West Crossing are in fact the high school (this was around half a year ago). Has anyone seen anything like this? I know the high school is becoming reality. Has anyone ever heard of a plan or at least ideas floating around for a new city hall/town square?

What did you find out about the new High School?  Where is it going to be located?  What does it look like?  I suppose with the growth going North on 75, it is probably going to be a big school in the future.

Pardon me for asking newbie questions (I am considering moving up 75 to Anna).  Where is Slater Creek Park?  What road(s) is it on?  I am trying to learn the area.

The new highschool is being built at the corner of West Crossing and Rosemond. It is to the west of the current highschool. If you look carefully North from from 455 across the field from Brookshires area you can see the cranes and steel beams going in.

No pardon necessary. Many of us were newbies at one time or another. Slayter Creek Park is the baseball diamonds, soccer field, skateboard park, covered pavillion and playgrounds behind (west of) the Anna High School football field.

And, for those who are still curious, the new high school IS that new construction going on west of Slayter Creek park, on the other side of the tree line. As mentioned before, the cranes and building frame everyone sees on the horizon north of West Crossing/FM455. If you want to see the most current online map with arial view, check out Mapquest. Their current satellite views of Anna clearly show Brookshire's, which opened just last year, and the groundbreaking for the bank in the corner of the Brookshire's parking lot. It does not show any high school construction.
