I am with Fred and Slum, I voted no to more than I voted yes on.

Again, some communication on the details would have been good!

Is a City Councilperson considered a "City Official"

And I think since some of the council members don;t show up all the time, having the mayor count is a good thing so we can get business conducted.

Prop 1 - Mayoral/City Council member term limits (3yrs)
-Standard in most Texas Municipalities.

Prop 2 - A city council member may not stay in office ofter term has expired
-This is a good thing.

Prop 3 - The office of an incumbent City official will not become vacant when the official runs for another public office
-If a Councilman decides to run for Mayor, then they do lose thier seat.  Overall, a good thing.

Prop 4 - The Mayor shall count toward a quorum of Council Members required to transact business
-This makes sense because the Mayor is a voting member already and this fixes an oversight in the Charter.

Prop 5 - Allow the Planning & Zoning commission to cancel a meeting or refrain from scheduling a meeting during a month when there is no required business for the Planning & Zoning Commission
-If nothing is on the agenda, why have a meeting?

Prop 6 - Decisions and recommendations by the Planning & Zoning Commission to deny deviations from the City's Comprehensive Plan may be overruled by the City Council with a simple majority vote
-The P&Z is appointed, the Council is elected.  This allows accountability directly to the voters.

At the end of the day it our RESPONSIBILITY as voters to research our ballots we will be voting on.  If you were uninformed on an issue or votes coming to the citizenry, empower yourself and learn more before you vote.
