ATTEMPTED SEXUAL ASSAULT CAUTION

Anna police is currently working a burglary that resulted in an attempted sexual assault in the Falls subdivision. All residents please take note!!

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late 20's. He has brown hair and was last seen wearing a red polo type shirt and possibly blue jeans. He was seen with a black male in a white pick up truck with a meat locker in the bed. According to the victim, the male had come by her residence (2000 block Helmoken Falls) twice in what she thought was an attempt to sell her some meat. The third time the male returned, he was alone and was in a red passenger car. The male forced his way into the home, tied the victim up and unsuccessfully attempted to sexually assault the victim. The male then ransacked the house and stole an undislosed amount of cash and other personal belongings.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Anna Police Department; ask for Detective Steve Williams. 972-924-2848

If you see anything suspicious, please call 911 immediately.

I am glad the perv was unseccessful! 

If anyone can answer.. When he came by before, did she answer the door?  If not, may be that would help??  Not to open the door, just holler through the door you are not interested, so they know someone is home..  If they were to come back again or not leave, then call the PD.

That's scary.  So glad the woman is ok, though I'm sure she is extremely shaken up.  I know these things happen everywhere, but Anna is such a tight-knit community that it just seems shocking.

At the same time, it is so great to have such a great police force.  Regular updates on our message board is really amazing!  Ty Anna PD!

Could you have been any more insensitive Chili Palmer??? You can't possibly be a woman, or have a woman that you care about, or else you would not have put that comment...Okay, so first he tried to sell her some meat, and then he even failed at trying to GIVE her some meat!

This is horrible!....I hope they catch this guy soon.  Never, ever open your door to a stranger.  My boxer barks and goes crazy when the doorbell rings.  I look out the peep hole and if I don't know them...I don't open the door.  I WISH my husband did the same.  I'm glad the lady is OK.  It could of turned out much worse.

I don't know how they call in a burgulary. It was really a robbery, since he tied her up after forcing his way in the house.

Seriously, get peep holes, don't answer your doors if you don't know who it is, be aware. If you feel so inclined get protection like we have. There's nothing like a 12 gauge cocking noise to get the attention of a perp.

Easy tiger.  It was an unsuccessful attempt.  Very pink pantheresque level of sophistication for this criminal.  If it had been a successful assault, I would certainly not have made that comment.  And for the record, I AM a woman.  Trapped in a man's body.

We bought a 20 gauge and a .410/.22 this week for the boys to hunt with, looks like that cute little 20 gauge might have to be momma's friend for a few weeks until things calm down.
