What things would Anna work at promoting??

I haven't figured that out yet.  I'd like to find out more info about the neighboring cities so we don't overlap.  Here's a couple options:

  • Create an industrial center at the corner of the Outer Loop, Railroad and 5
  • Create a large convention center (similar to the Plano Center) with lots of access
  • Lan Parties!  8a-8p ages 6+, 8p-10p ages 18+, 10p-1p 21+
  • Municipal Wi-Fi
  • Wind farm / solar collector / non-breeder nuclear reactor
  • Water park on the far east side
  • Build up the skate park planned for Slater Creek and host regional tournaments
  • July 4th celebration in the amphitheater at the YMCA Camp, or July 4th water balloon fight "downtown"
  • Annual meetings with the state and county representatives (first one with representative Laubenberg is scheduled for 8 Nov 07, details to follow later).
  • Technology Awareness days...Gathering of presenters at booths discussing different advances in "technology" (computers, biomed, development, non-electical, etc.)
I'm sure I can come up with some more ideas as time progresses, these are just off the top of my head that I've been thinking about so far.

I love the wind farm idea.  When I loved in Germany, the town which neighbored us had a windfarm.  I remember driving by--they were pretty!

I've seen the 4th of July water fight in Prescott AZ. Its loads of fun. Kind of cheeses off the local law enforcement folks tho. They get too many complaints. We should get a space port in here.

When I loved in Germany...

I lost my virginity to a girl I met in Germany.

We also have the YMCA Adventure camp, which is unique to the county.  There should be some way to promote that.

We skinny dip in that pool out there.  Melvin says his eye sticks to that slide when he goes down naked.
