DART Railway

One of these days DART will reach Anna. Many of us are not willing to give up our cars and use public transportation. How do you feel about Dart coming to Anna ?

I would love for Dart to come.  I work in Richardson.  I would gladly give up my car to ride Dart - even a bus.  The gas is just killing me!

I heard that Allen does not want the tracks in their town?...If that's so...I don't see Anna getting the train.  It should would be nice though...I'd ride it all the time.

I would think if Allen Doesn't want Dart, the train won't stop in Allen. They sould not be able to decide the future of North Collin County.

With the state of public transportation in Dallas compared to other large cities, I can't see the train going anywhere near where I work.  If I was worked off 75, sure. No problem. I would be joining Glo on the train every morning.
But I'm in Plano, off 121 and Legacy.  And there is a bus stop in front of the building, but to get from the closest train stop to that point is another hour after the train.
So, unless they decide to run tracks parallel to 121, it wouldn't be very good for me.

It would take me longer to take the train.

I work in downtown & I currently drive into Plano & catch the train in.  It is about 20 to 30 mins longer riding the train 1 way (parking, getting on train & all).  So I really lose near an hour a day by riding the train but I save quite a bit on gas & then not to mention if I were to drive & hit bad traffic.  So yeah, if it were to make it to Anna, I'd probably take it, but it would probably add another 20 mins to the commute...
