Emergency Alarms
« on: April 16, 2008, 12:04:47 PM »
Was the city testing the emergency alarms today?  They are going off.  I don't see anything on the city's website (surprise surprise surprise) about them testing today.  I know from attending the council meetings that they were supposed to test on April 2nd.

I hate the lack of communication!

TIA

I think I saw a sign about this in front of the Fire Department when I was driving by Sunday.

If forced to make a call, I would say it said "April 16th".

I only remember it saying "April" without a date.

It was set for earlier this month unless there was bad weather that day which there was so yes the sign did just say April with no date so apparently  today was nice enough weather they did think anyone would mistake it for a real weather Emergency

Unfortunately, there were plenty of people who blacked out their windows and sought the most fortified parts of their homes in preparation for the coming air raid.

Much like the "Code Red" alerts to buckle down for bad weather 2 hours after the storms have passed  ???
