HWY 75 Ramps
« on: October 03, 2007, 08:18:01 AM »
Does anyone from the city know of plans for TXDOT to add any entrance of exit ramps on 75 ? We could you an exit at Foster's Crossing NB. This would take traffic for Oak Hollow in the back way CR 367. Can we ease congestion at the truck stops?

I have heard rumors of building out an entrance ramp at CR366 (Foster's Crossing).  From my limited understanding, this will be done once the four corners around the overpass are developed.

As I live in Pecan Grove, I'm greatly looking forward to that.

Is Foster's Crossing going to become the loop?

No sir.  "The Loop" is an elusive and ever-changing animal. Currently, long-term projections place it approximately half a mile South of Foster's Crossing, but that is subject to change.

I dread trying to get through the 75/455 intersection anymore.

It's so weird that people complain about liquor when we have trucks EVERYWHERE at that intersection.  Monday when I left for work there was an 18 wheeler stuck blocking both lanes of traffic to the bridge to head South.

I knew the truck stops were there when we moved in, but geez they are annoying.  A lot more annoying that seeing Liquor signs.   ;D

Another thing that will help is put "double" entrance ramps onto 75 like they have in Sherman. Example from U.S. 82 to S. 75. The trucks can have their own lane to get up to speed.

The Collin County Thoroughfare Plan shows the current plan for the loop.  Also, the Outer Loop Alignment Plan shows how it has moved over the years, along with the current technical plan.

You can also see the transportation bond information on the same site, and the access for various feeder roads.  From the Transportation bond presentation, you can also see where they estimate traffic growth will be.

Can you imagine another 15,000 people in Anna in the next 7-10 years?  What roads do we need to build up?  What services?  Talk about a daunting task.
