Dear City Of Anna, Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce (GACC), Town Mayor, Those appointed seats on the board of directors, and to whom it may concern:
There is no question of the ever advancing growth and expansion of our city. The rapid movements of uprising local area business, schools, and public ameneties has definately been helpful in the development process, however I propose to have our city-funded parks and recreation centers as do many other parks: full court basketball courts, fenced in tennis (or basketball) and if possible volleyball courts of some kind. there is a lot of retail space availble in the sorrounding communites to build such a park. the development of the park neighboring the highschool is great, however I personally believe one should be created near the brookshire area within a less than 5 mile radius, circumferencing Oak Hollow, The Falls, West Crossing, Creekside and Willow Creek. preferably accessible from FM 455.
I believe the city has plenty of funds or can obtain funds from collin county through the increased tax revenue flowing through the city, and thus eliminating lots of problem with private neighboorhood pools, ameneties, and recreational venues, by having a PUBLIC place for extra-curricular activites and recreational purposes (i.e. barbecues, easter egg hunts, team sport practices, etc).
I can assure any member of the city council that there are several local area tax paying residents that also share my view(s) on the proposal of a park nearby.
Sincerely,
Concerned Anna Resident.
(P.S> I am aware that there are blue prints at the anna city hall for 2 park divisions to be established in the near future... however none include the basketball/tennis/volleyball/etc courts based upon the depictions of those preliminary blueprints.)
