While I like the idea behind identifying the singularization within the possessive, its wholly dissatisfying due to its intrinsically discordant nature. Ideas like this can work when the two discrete words are audibly similar. When they're not, however - it simply doesn't.
To ensure I'm getting the idea across properly, I've been pronouncing it yahour which is difficult to say, even harder to hear, and sours my stomach just a little when I speak it aloud.
Are others saying it differently?
