Yes, you heard me right.  Someone paid $22,000. for that.

Sorry, in all fairness I should have called her the pistol packing "pioneer"...

The breakdown is:

City of Anna  - $12K
EDC and CDC - $5K each
Total - $22K

Who can provide a link to official documentation of:

Individuals who voted "yes" on the funding for this effort?
Individuals who voted "yes" to approve this particular logo/brand?
Individuals who voted "no" to either?

This will definitely affect my voting decisions in future.

Because:

1.  $22K in THIS economy for a logo/branding effort is absolutely inappropriate.
2.  This logo is inappropriate.

Some good questions, Cypher.  Alas, I do not have the answers you seek.  I do, however, have a list of things I could get for $22,000 that would be far more practical and/or more fun than a logo.

A car
44,000 canned food items in donation to a local food bank
Fully paid 4 year state college education for THREE children
A boob job for me and two friends
1/3 of a house from Habitat for Humanity
The annual property tax assessment for all of my friends on my street.
A pair of earrings from Tiffany
18,857  bottles of Shiner Bock Beer

But, you know, I suppose that's the going price for a logo nowadays. 

$22k would've made a nice down payment on the City of Anna Honorable John Geren Jedi Master Public Library.

Seeing that a portion of that $22k came out of your pocket to begin with, feel free to pay yourself for a job well done!

I thought we were just using extra water trying to wash that nasty logo off of us...

Seriously - did that logo REALLY cost that much? 

I wish our council would step forward as to who said yay and nay on this.  This is just outrageous in light of the current economic state.
