Rule for pool placement?
« on: May 16, 2011, 06:07:17 PM »
I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a city ordinance against having a pool between two houses?  My neighbor and I would like to have a Intex 15" x 48" Metal-Frame Above-Ground Pool but we have dogs and don't want the dogs near it so we were considering setting it up between our houses, outside the fence for the summer.  We live in Tara Farms subdivision.

Thanks,
Stephanie

Check your HOA rules first. You may not be allowed to have an above the ground pool. You can't have one in Oak Hollow. Also, check with your home owner's insurance. Having a pool will raise the cost of your policy.

There are lots of rules about pools,  including that they have to be fenced.  Called the city,  I am sure they will explain it all.

Thanks for the help guys!  We don't have an HOA here although I figured there would be some law about it.  That nixes that idea...

Thanks again!
