She could have posted anything on here. Why is it up to you to check the validity of the thread?

Just wanted to know the reasoning for my own benefit, I could respond in many different ways depending on why your questioning the route.  And why not get people stirred up in the interim, easiest way to see if there is a legitimate concern, also makes the thread more fun..

Mission accomplished  :P
All I'm saying is that this lady asked a simple question and didnt deserve an attack like that. The regulars on here know how to take your crap but a newbie may not. :)

Wasn't an attack unless of coarse that was in fact the case right?  I thought she responded to it very well.  You had the only shocking response  :P  Seems the newbie could gather what I was saying better than you  :o

SO I guess the problem with the bus is in the AM? You have ad for afterschool care of other ppls children, stating that the kids will ride the bus to your home. I imagine if you are soliciting care of other kids, you are standing there at the bus stop in the afternoon waiting for them, as well as your own?  I am also guessing that the toddlers that prohibit you from taking your kiddo to the bus stop in the AM must be gone by 3PM, therefore not prohibiting you from making it to the bus stop for the afternoon pick-up?

"My son goes to Joe K and I watch children in my home.  Does anyone need afterschool care for their child?  They would ride the bus to my house and get snack and help with homework if needed.  I charge $50 per week.  You can email me directly if you'd like emilysummer@hotmail.com"

Well I am waiting for an answer...but it doesnt look so good. I mean if she thinks her kiddo isnt safe...how could she possibly think others' kids will be. I am always willing to give the benefit of the doubt...but in the meantime I just had to ask/say something ???

Actually, I thought this section of the forum was for people who wanted to talk about real issues that can possibly be resolved by intellectual conversation.  But I see it's actually for people with way too much time on their hands.

You need to contact the Bus company who has the contract.  The City nor the School had anything to do with the route.  Have you seen some of the drivers?  Not sure if I would want them to negotiate a 30' bus in my driveway.

It was answered by the above poster. Sometimes you do have to sift through some chaff. A couple of other posters stated concerns for any children you may be watching. That is where some of the responses got lost in the shuffle.

I think you got your answer as Angi stated...It just seems strange to have a very real concern but then to turn around and solicit the care of children putting other ppls kids into the same situation you dont want your kiddo in...surely you can see that? At the very least I do hope you resolve the Bus issue or find a way to work around it, so your kid and other ppls children arent in danger any longer. Good Luck to you and stay safe!
