Well since we have so many educated people on this forum.  How can  1 women use 56200 gallons of water in  one year 187,000 in  total of two years. It's impossible, only if ... 1st you would have to use @ least 220 gallons x per day x7 x 365=562100 (domestic usage) washing, and drying, cooking etc.  (My usage should be  around  17,900 per year.

Anna news letter states the city resident  would receive, new water meters (AMR) However  my new meter wasn't new, according to the previous owners, it's almost 5 years old, and not AMR..   Where's our old new meters from our builders.   I'm sorry, I don't accepts lies or BS, when I know what I know. I'm from a big city, with technology, we know about digital reading.  Meter can be set and reset.   (where is your digital reads from your AMR?  Not a spread sheet), from the city?

FYI: if your meter had been replace ,with brand new meters, in 2007/2008, new meters start at 0.

For all the one's who called the city, Here are the answers, many of our neighbors have heard!

Maybe you have a leak!
Maybe you're taking  long showers
Is your toilet running?
Someone could be stilling your water

90% of people in this town, claim to be Christians, from the city staff to the residents.  Live the truth. Stop faking and shaking. God does not approve of this type of actions, and for all of your who wanted answers to your water problems, God has given it to you.

According to the Anna city staff, the average water usage for a water account in Anna is 7000 gal/mo.  That comes out to 84,000 gal/yr or 168k gal in 2 years.

Per studies in Denver and Tucson, water usage in both cities is currently around 105,000 gallons/year or 8700 gal/mo.

Per the city of Tulsa, OK: The water industry estimates that an average person uses 3,000 gallons of water monthly, so a family of 4 would use 12,000 gallons, for bathing, cooking, washing, recreation and watering.

I don't know about your lawn care habits, but moderate lawn watering (3x/week for 20 min) would account for ~1200 gallons a month alone.

I understand that your water usage should be quite a bit lower if you're living alone, but the numbers you presented are pretty standard for most households around here.

You've been railing against the city's water department for a few days now -- what is it exactly that you think they're guilty of?

Sorry! don't have a water hose.  Where I come from, women live in a residential community by themselves, without being cheated!
If I'm upset,  because it's  my money.  Know one has the right to steal from me, if I'm using the water, show me the readings.  The city will not show any one the digital print out  of their numbers, the numbers will not add up.   Sorry, just to let you know ,it's been 2 years, I've been researching, this information.

Since you are protecting the City, I pay taxes also.  It's my money. Do your research! It's stupid some residents are paying $400 - $500  dollars, water bills a month.  We are not supposed to have old meters,  look it up.

Water is calculated by real time, and recorded documents.  It's illegal to manipulate utilities number. You might not know that, unless you read!

So, I will harp all the way to Austin to Washington DC back to Anna, until I receive legal documents which is rightly and legal belongs to me.     Accurate documents is a must!  Each resident have the legal right to request a print out of there water meter usage, Not a billing history.  I did not come up with the is law.  Deceptive Trade Practices

www. texasattorneystategeneral.gov Type in water in the search box.   See the law suit concerning water.  So until you know all the facts, don't speak.

I don't have a problem with my meter reading but, I do have a problem with the web site to pay your bill. Every month I make my payment on line and the web account does not subtract my payment. So now I have to go to the water company to pay my bill. The web site says I owe $195.68 and my bill was only $68.32. The woman at the water company was just as confused as I am. I hope they get this fixed soon.

I know it's a delay in the time.  It doesn't allow you to pay on the due date.  To my understanding Anna doesn't want to be responsible for this website.  FYI, the city of Anna does read our water meters on the 15th of the month, sometimes it is the 28th of the month, you shouldn't be charge a late fee, if you can't pay it by the 15th of the month.  Anna sometimes bill  30-40 days on one bill.

Congratulation on your bill!

I agree that you should have the right to see your meter readings.  What seems to be the problem with this?  Who is not allowing you to access your records?

I'm not protecting the city as much as commenting on the wild, almost incoherent way you're authoring your posts.  I guess what I'd like most is to hear in a clear, succinct way what it is exactly your beef with the city is.

Present your case with a little less emotion and a little more clarity and you may just find some allies here.
