Moving to Creekside...
« on: June 06, 2008, 12:27:56 AM »
Moving to Creekside in the next few weeks! After reading about all of the break ins, I am quite nervous, actually. Do you suggest that I get my alarm system reconnected and monitored? Any other advice for a new neighbor? :)

I would suggest locking your car doors.

We live in Creekside and have lived here for almost 3 years now and have not had a problem at all.  If you just make sure and lock your cars and don't leave valuable stuff laying in plain site then whoever is doing the break ins will leave your car alone!  Please do not be nervous, it is a great neighborhood to live in!

Yeah what he said!  We love Creekside.  We are on Creekside - where will you be?

This will be my 5th year in Creekside...no problems here! I'm on Wiley Farm...
On a really positive note I noticed the  house next to me had its electricity hooked back up and the a/c is running! I hope this is a good sign that I will get a new neighbor! You didn't happen to buy on Wiley Farm, did you?

Actually, yes--we are on Wiley Farm! We did get the A/C and water turned on today, and are now working on getting everything else taken care of before we are able to move in. We will be there tomorrow and Sunday, you will have to come say hello!

Thank you all so much! Luckily, we will be parking in the garage. We were at the house today and everyone was so sweet--we had lots of "hello" waves! Thanks again, guys! Glad to (soon) be part of such a wonderful community!

What a coincidence!
So, I have the yard on steroids...
My name is Marie and I've got the 2 doxies, 1 cat...
Congratulations on your home purchase and welcome to the neighborhood!

Are you right next door to us--with the beautiful yard?! Ours looks AWFUL right now, but we will be doing lots to it soon. Too bad it wasn't cared for properly! I'm Hallye, and my fiance is Kyle...we have a baby girl, Naala--our Shih Tzu :) I believe you were outside one day with your dogs when we were snooping around the house :)

Yup!
That is me!
Hi Hallye, Kyle & Naala!
We will have to get the kids together and meet...I have 1 very bad dog(Ziggy) and 1 really good dog (Annabelle).
Just an fyi...last week I had to have a swarm of bees killed on a tree branch that was mine but was hanging over in your yard. There are about 50million dead bees in that back corner. Don't know if they still have power to sting if they are dead??
I am so happy that you guys bought the house! I know I speak for all of us neighbors that it is a blessing to have someone in the house! It also means I get to stop mowing your front and side yards! Yay!!! ;D ;D ;D

Since the stinger is really nothing more than a hypodermic needle with poison set on a spring mechanism, the reaction of being stung requires no conscious thought from the bee.  So get out the mulcher ;-)
