Driveways as in parties, setting around and tossing back the brew and being social and stupid together..

Mine is one of them, it's open Monday through Sunday 8:30PM till whenever...

Like it?  LIKE IT?  I LOVE IT!  I grew up in Downtown Dallas, spending my formative years there, having moved up from Corsicana in the 2nd grade.  Moved to a small town in Wise County for my high-school years and couldn't wait to get out and see the world!  I enlisted in the Air Force and lived in Germany, England, Virginia, Korea, visited Saudi Arabia, lived in Omaha for a spell - came back and played with the big boys during the IT boom in Addison - what a trip!  Had a couple of kids, moved to Wichita, then Saint Louis, and it when it was time to come back to the Great State I wanted someplace which would give me everything I further desired, and I found it here in Anna.

I hope to never leave.

If there's one thing I've learned along the way, its that any place on this green earth can be just as fantastic or as miserable as you are!

Yeah I'm not too keen on social interaction and I dont see much of it in Anna. We dont go to church either.

Welcome.  We are in Creekside too.  It is great here in Anna, but we moved here for the quiet, for the kids and for the slower pace of life.  I can not imagine being happy here if I did not want those things out of life.

If you are wanting some social interaction with people that live here, then you are going to have to go to them.  You cannot go out to McKinney and Plano all the time and expect to get to know your neighbors.  If have discovered that people are as friendly or as distant with you as you are with them.  Spend some time outside in the evening when it cools off a bit.  There is quite a bit of life in Creekside but you do have to come outside to find it.

Agreed. We've only been living in Creekside for a few weeks and have already been welcomed by so many people. You can choose to make yourself unavailable, and people pick up on that.

I'm not big on "small towns" either...being that I grew up a million miles away in Corpus Christi--but I love the fact that we can be "away from it all" if we want to be, or you can drive 10 minutes and be in the middle of everything.

I don't spend much time here either--but the time that I am here (or anywhere, for that matter)...I plan to make the most of it and at least have some sort of social interaction. Get to know your neighbors...

Ehowton lives in Pecan Grove and has lovely neighbors.  The Weed family is very social and always outside waving at all passers by!

I must live on the uppity side of creekside. i dont see no garage shindigs, but then again I dont go outside much. in the early evenings we do see people out but with their kids and stuff or sometimes they walk or jog. But mostly we arent outside people. Anna needs a bar or club or something.

I dont even know my neighbors names. Shoot im from up north and there we keep our head down and eyes open. It's just not an issue. It's not like I need anything from them. I dont borrow sugar or anything.

I cant make a bar or club happen. sorry. Maybe someone else can, that would be cool.
