New to Creekside

Hello. Could someone please tell me what (good) internet is available there? Also, what electric company is used and is Directv available? Thanks in advance for any help

I think us folks here in Creekside don't have a choice over electric. I think we will always have GCEC...isn't that right Glodowg?

Correct.  We are stuck with GCEC, unless they repeal the law about co-ops.  I don't see that happening.  It sucks!

Yeah, deregulation pretty much gave the co-ops ultimate power.  It is their choice and their choice only weather or not to join in in deregulation and open up for competition. 

When will my co-op make its choice?  "Each co-op will decide in its own time. Some may wait to see what the real costs are going to be. Your co-op will opt for competition only if it benefits you."

I used to keep a close eye on the elec costs between GCEC and TXU (main options out here in the boonies)..  When I looked GCEC was always cheaper.  I see that is  still the same today..


GCEC per Kwh   $ 0.1025
TXU   per Kwh          $ 0.15
