« on: February 01, 2011, 04:10:05 PM »
peel and slice 8 to 10 potatoes...use russet potatoes
flour
salt pepper
sliced bacon, uncooked
milk

in a casserole layer the following, you will want to spray the casserole with a nonstick spray
start in bottom
2 pieces of  bacon in an x form
put a layer of potatoes
sprinkle a teaspoon or two of flour over the potatoes
dash of salt and pepper
2 more pieces of bacon...
do this 4 or 5 layers to the top
on the top layer be sure to sprinkle a teaspoon of flour
and 2 pieces of bacon

after you have this all layered, pour in about 2 cups of milk, cover and bake at 350 for 2 hours, take the lid off about the last 15 minutes so the top potatoes brown some....

these are great, my mom made these for sunday dinners forever...the best, they are good left over too for breakfast, i just fry them in a little bit of oil, serve with eggs and toast YUM
Be Happy.....
