1 large can sliced peaches
1 box cake yellow or butter cake mix
1 stick butter or margarine
dash nutmeg, cinnamon
tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350

Open can of peaches and drain and reserve juice (you will need about a cup or more) dump peaches into bottom of 9x13 glass or a metal baking dish. Pour vanilla extract into peaches and stir around a little. Sprinkle nutmeg and cinnamon over peaches. Dump dry cake mix over peaches in cake pan. Clumps are okay. Cut butter or margarine into 9 or 12 squares. Distribute butter onto cake. Pour peach juice evenly over the top of cake. Bake for around 35 minutes. You will want the top to be brown.

This is awesome served warm with vanilla ice cream

After I made the dump cake for my MIL she takes a chocolate cake mix and uses cherries.
