Caponera seeks Place 6 on Anna City Council

ANNA - Jeff Caponera is hoping voters will elect him to serve on Place 6 on the Anna City Council — currently held by Billy Deragon — because he says he wants to serve the people and does not have an agenda to run in the May 10 council election.

If elected, Caponera, who has served on the Anna Planning and Zoning Commission for the past year and on the Anna Board of Adjustments, would like to focus on creating a master plan for Anna, which currently only has a land use plan. The council recently approved the creation of a committee to look at creating a master plan. The committee would be made up of people who live in the Anna city limits and the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, which may one day be within the city limits.

The council actually approved the creation of a committee to look into the creation of a committee for the purpose of creating a master plan.  One more removed than indicated - which is a start from last year, when they were talking about the creation of a committee to look into the creation of a committee for the creation of a committee for the purpose of creating a master plan.

Wait just a second there.  I already made that motion.  About 4 years ago we authorized the city manager to draft a proposed resolution to present to the council to declare the necessity for an investigative study to be authorized for the purposes of determining the need to establish a committee to select committee members for the aforementioned creation of a master plan.

See what happens when you don't follow through?  It's taken this long just to recreate the wording in the motion.
