Dark Day for KAG...
« on: November 04, 2007, 12:21:22 PM »
With the awkwardly-named Anna Alcohol Repeal group's prohibition yard signs failing miserably in both concept and design (have you tried actually READING those as you drive by?  White on red?), and on the heels of what has to have been their most successful covert op mission to date, they've ordered and are distributing 1600 of these signs all around town for Tuesday's vote.  I think we're in trouble:

It is clear to see that this guy is very responsible.  If you look you will see he has a 2nd beverage so he could easily be "double fisting."  I hope he was able to finish his 1st one before his 2nd one got hot!

LOL!  I love that sign!  Could I get a copy?  I'd like the Anna Historical Society to put this one in their collection for future display.

Win or lose, it portrays the great divide in this community, although, if I'm right, that divide isn't that great: 64% FOR / 36% AGAINST

I feel that any division of community is a great harm.

ROTFL   :D

We don't need a sign like that.  We just hang out on the driveway with our 40 ouncers next to our signs and give them a live show.   ;)

I feel that any division of community is a great harm.

That division was there, vote or no vote.  And I don't get the impression you live in a bubble, so I guess you are saying we are always in great harm.  Because there will rarely be 100% unity on any issue.

I feel it is more harmful when our city leaders choose to purposely divide the city.

There is a difference between disagreement and division. There will never be total agreement on anything. It's human nature.
But a division is much more bitter.
