Early Voting Starts Monday
« on: October 15, 2010, 04:57:57 PM »
Yes, I know it's a Mid-Term election, and those are not all that exciting, but it is important to vote. It is important to exercise this right you have, as it is one of the things that makes this country great.

Besides, if you don't vote: Don't Bitch about the outcome.  :o

Here are some links for you:

Some Important Information For You:

  • Collin County uses Voting Centers. You do not have to be in your precinct to vote, even on election day. You can vote anywhere in Collin County.
  • If you are not sure if you are registered, or if you want to find a Voting Center near you, check out the Collin County Election Infromation website. There are a ton of links to some great information.
  • Most of Anna is in Precinct 17 and 172.  Check your registration to verify which precinct you vote in.
  • Get a Sample Ballot and study the issues and who is running. Precinct 17 and 172 are using Ballot Style 2.
  • Most importantly: Vote!

I don't see the 'incumbent' marker by any names.  Wonder if they are going to be noted on the electronic display at the booth.

My philosophy for this election is in two parts:
Vote against the incumbent when possible
Vote against the R/D fraternal order when possible
It appears I'll have to 'no vote' several.

Shouldn't have to programmatically vote, but it's time to hit the hard reset...   :-\

I voted a straight Elvis ticket.

I knew one minister who didn't understand how Christians could be Republicans.

I knew another who didn't understand how Christians could be Democrats.

Republican or Democrat does not and should not matter. However too many people are divided and let those titles make their voting choices. There are evil ones and good ones in both parties. Study the canidate and not the party.
