Election Question
« on: April 21, 2009, 11:24:35 PM »
I was unable to attend meet the candidate night.

Is there anyplace where I can find more info on the candidate's positions, or is it more of a small town vote for who you know kind of thing?

Thanks!

Good news! You didn't miss the meet the candidate night.

Monday April 27th
6:30pm
JKB Elementary Cafeteria

It's next week Monday.

And some people do the "vote who you know" type of thing. Personally, I would like to hear a few things. Hopefully I will be able to make it, traffic willing.

They're always exciting.  And when they're not, they're amusing.  But always informational!

Maybe a question to all about their beliefs on gay marriage since none of those with a political seat have said a word.. Or did I miss it and they did say something?

Oh! Well, I thought I missed it. However, unless the traffic gods smile down on me that evening, I won't be able to go.

It would be nice if the people who plan these things would give some thought to the 70% (or so) of Anna residents who commute.

DAT,
I understand your concerns about the time frame issue.  The reason for the 6:30 start time is because of the length of time it will take for the event.  It will be no less the 2 1/2 hours in length and we have time constraints with the venue.  Do also note, that it is perfectly fine for you to come when you are able to get there.  We will have printed sheets with information from each of the candidates.

I am also sure that the candidates would be around afterward for individual questions should someone have them.

Here is some reference info.  I couldn't locate sites for most.  Is there a better list already generated somewhere?
