Speaking of which, anyone know of any good pumpkin patches/fall festivals around the area?  (Already know about Big Orange Pumpkin Farm.)

Too far off topic?

It is never too far off topic here. :)

Welcome!  Have you any experience in Municipal matters?  Were you on that movie Iron Eagle?

I was not in the movie Iron Eagle, if memory serves me correctly that was Danny Glover.  I don't think I can claim any relation either.

I currently server on the Citizen's Master Plan Update Advisory Committee, have been on the Board of Directors for my HOA for over 2 years.   I have been attending City Council meetings regularly since January of this year to familiarize myself with the issues that Anna faces.  I attend as many city board meetings as my schedule will allow and I am an active member of the Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce.

To answer your question in a brutally honest manner, I have limited municipal experience in the truest sense of the term.  However, I have always been involved in community endeavors and served on various community, organization and association committees/boards.  I am very aware of what has been going in Anna since I moved here; I have a strong commitment to the future of this city.   I feel that knowledge is power and have always strived to be well informed in all that is going on in Anna.

So how does one server? Just out of curiosity....I know guys that have servers, but I think that is something entirely different.

I will be at the Rattan Fall Festival on Saturday handing out balloons for the kids.  I look forward to meeting many of you there!

Hi - My name is Becky Glover and I am running for City Council Seat 6.

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.   I have lived all over the Dallas area and settled in Anna in 2005.   I am married to Robert Narodowg and have 3 children; Joseph is 14 and is fulfilling his lifelong dream to become a Navy Seal at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, Karla is 13 and a proud member of the Anna Coyote Marching Band, and Matthew is 2.

I am an IT professional and have worked for National Write Your Congressman in Richardson for the past 5 years.  I enjoy my job and all the challenges and diversity that come along with working for a small company.  I have been in the IT field for 10 years and worked for a large school district before joining NWYC.  I also own a fledgling candle company that is based out of Anna.  We are just coming out of the research and development phase, but are hopeful that it will be a full time endeavor in the near future.

There is more - much more!  But I will stop with that.  I look forward to getting to know each of you and serving this fine City we all call home!
