No. I wasn't trying to say Yo and just go confused.
I just heard back, through my sources, about the ballot initiative on November 6.

It appears that I have it backwards. And the County Elections person I talked to had it wrong. I knew I should have gone with my intuition.

Vote FOR the Local Option if you want the Beer, Wine, and Liquor sales to continue.

Vote AGAINST the Local Option if you do not want the Beer, Wine, and Liquor sales to continue.

I was having a discussion about this last night with Drax0r and I am so confused. It was tricky enough to begin with and now this. I have spent a huge amount of time telling people to vote against and now I have have to tell them to vote for. I object!

What can be done about this.

Well the problem is that there were 4 different government entities saying 4 different things (and, incidentally the only point of consistency between them was that a vote of against would result in keeping BWL).  The new info comes from the Sectary of State's office in Austin, and we believe it to be authoritative.

Please...  We need to bring the driveway party there!  We all need to be good and drunk to vote right.  See if we were all drunk right now we would understand how we needed to vote!  :D

We can electioneer 100' from the polling place while having a driveway party.  You bring the torches, we'll bring the beer, and we can set up in the parking lot in front of the Chamber of Commerce.

Can we REALLY do that?  Because if it were legal I would consider it.   ;D

It is legal to electioneer.  Public intoxication is another matter altogether, but I'm willing to risk it if you are.

Depends on the day of the week and time.  However, I wouldn't want to be so intoxicated that it would sway someone's vote in favor of prohibition.   ;)

We can set up our own beer tent!

I just hope someone will figure out what it is we need to vote for, either against or for to be sure to keep the booze flowing in Anna.  Also, I read on another thread that the subdivisions had to be here 2 years ago when the vote was originally done.....so will I be able to vote?  I moved into Oak Hollow in 2006, and it will just blow if my house can't vote as we have 3 registered voters living here that will vote for keeping liquor in Anna.  Does anyone know the answer to this and sorry if it was already posted on another thread.
