No cross-posting please.  Since this has to do directly with the Alcohol issue, we'll use this one.  Thank you.

Will there be a beer/wine tent?

This is Anna. I would expect to see a Piss and Whine tent at the very least.

I will be there with my tenants.  This directly affects the town I have invested my money in.  I am very pissed off at the recent movement.  Nobody messes with my money!

I wouldn't show up if they paid me.   I have no intention of listening to the prohibitionists rhetoric, and drone on about their exaggerated claims.  Their website tells me all I need to know:

  • It's headed by a religious group who has no ties to my city
and
  • that voting NO will decrease the sales tax revenue and increase your property taxes is a false statement.

I'm sorry, I call BS, and I don't want any part of that dog & pony show.

That and you can't sit still for 5 minutes.

I'm actually considering going to sit in the back and quietly observe.  Ask a pointed question or 10.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend.  Could you please ask them how they can sleep at night after walking around town placing flyers on doors that declare "You're an idiot, so I can tell you that taxes won't be impacted and you'll buy it.  Please vote NO."

But be sure to temper that with a similar argument if somebody spouts off that taxes will double or some other stupid statement.

Thanks!

Hey now, I'm not old enough to be a sir.  Went to a family reunion last weekend and it looks like everybody's getting older.  Pretty soon I'll be the youngest one there.  ;D

RBO says he is going, but I suspect he will bore easily with the rhetoric.  Especially after I remind him there is cold beer in the fridge.   ;)

I'll make sure he behaves.

Or we can both sit in the back and heckle a bit.  ;D

Maybe Deer Run can sposor a tailgate party in that corn field.  E Howton can serve as a guide to lead people through there.

Is the city sponsoring this meeting, or the chamber of commerce??

I am half tempted to go with a list of questions.
