Author Topic: What is your MOST important issue in the upcoming City Council Election?  (Read 3206 times)

I thought it would interesting to discuss what our most important issues are when considering candidates for the upcoming City Council Election.  Mine:

Getting the Parks Board EVERYTHING it needs.  They have been doing such an awesome job and I can't wait to use the parks.

Controlled growth.  So many things are going to impact our now small town, that we need to make sure we don't let them change the things we love most about Anna.  I love that people want to revitalize the downtown "square" area.

More power for the Technology Group to at least fix that lame city website.

What is yours?

Controlled growth.

Like regulating number of births per family and stationing armed guards to checking papers at the City Limits?

You guys are cracking me up!!!

Daisy, thanks for the plugs for Parks!  You guys are going to love the native plant garden I am in charge of designing.  BTW, does anyone know anything about native plants, wanna lend a hand, maybe donate some plants?  My budget is small but my plans are BIG!  This park is going to rock.  ;)

You have plants right here in this building, for example, that are poisonous.  You picked them because they look pretty, but these are aggressive living things that have no idea what century they're living in and will defend themselves.  Violently, if   necessary.

I have the perfect lady for you.  She is a horticulturist, loves native plants and I think she would be more than willing to help out. I"ll pm you her contact information.

Mom that is awesome.  I will begin to ask around as well.  I have a landscaper that is a Chamber member, so I will start there.  Thanks for what you are doing :)

I would love to see more parks, as well as more cash to move this little town into the business center of today/tomorrow.
Thank you,

I require a 24-hour Chipotle here in Anna.  Just South of 455.

I'm fascinated by your dedication to this Chipotle.  Please explain, as I have never been to one.   :)

Construction of a multi-colored undulating glowing spire which reaches into the heavens which can be seen county-wide as a beacon of hope and inspiration to all with a plaque which reads, "Bring me your poor, your needy, for with open arms we welcome them" at its base.

And free gumdrops.

As they didn't have Chipotles in St. Louis at the time, we had to bribe Ehowton to move to Texas on the sole basis of having Chipotle nearby at work.

And now they're building one across the street!
