There was once an atheist fisherman out fishing in the ocean one cloudy day. As a storm rolled in his boat began to rock. Next thing you know,he got thrown overboard. He tried to swim but his boat got further and further away. He was getting very tied and to top things off he noticed a shark closing in on him. As alot of people would say in times like these, the same words came out of his mouth "God help me !" All the sudden the waves stopped, and the shark was no where to be seen. A beam of light came from the sky and a voice that said,"You call upon me, yet you don't believe in me ?" The very confused fisherman said " Well, sir if you are real would you make that shark believe in you ? " Maybe after that I will consider believing myself. The voice said " Very well". The light disappeared, the waves came back and the fisherman was right back where he was, swimming and struggling. By now he was thinking it was all fake, there is no God, because he would have rescued him. Just then the shark reappeared. Once he got close to the fisherman a strange thing happed. The shark stopped, bowed his head and talked ! He said " Lord bless this food I'm about to receive".

The thing that confuses me about atheism is why even take the chance of being wrong about believing in God?  Most religions claim dire consequences for not believing/following according to the guidelines of the religion.

IF there happens to be no God, and the atheists are correct.  Then... okay.  We all end up in the soil just decomposing while mankind continues on above ground.  BUT, if God does exist and there are legit afterlife consequences for not believing/following/etc. , then atheists are STUPID.

You can't win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket.  Buying a ticket doesn't guarantee a lottery win, but not buying a ticket GUARANTEES you don't win.  Atheism guarantees the legit dire consequences of the afterlife if those consequences turn out to be reality.  Atheism is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard of.  And for all you atheists out there, if you are sitting around being all atheisty because you expect God to personally walk through your front door, or appear to you in your dreams, or perform any sort of miracle just for YOU in order for YOU to believe...  Well, that's just not the way it works.  (usually)

Very logical!

Yeah, that's why I follow Allah.  He seems to be the nastiest to non-believers, so if you're going to pick one to wager on, that's the way to go.

Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship the same god.

I'll take none thanks.  Even if it's real I don't think I'd want to spend eternity in a "heaven" ruled by a psychopathic narcissist.
