There is a water main break.   No, we did not get the reverse 911 message or we wouldn't be on here with this concern.

Special City of Anna News

Low Water Pressure
Update as of December 24, 6:30 a.m. - City Crews have been working through the night and are continuing to resolve the water main break that has resulted in low water pressure in many parts of Anna. We hope to be able to restore pressure later this morning. Please be conservation minded and use water only when necessary until full pressure is restored. Thank you again for you cooperation and patience.

I just got word that the water has been fixed and it should be returning to normal in a little while.  Oh and by the way it was not a reverse 911 call, that was the CODE RED system that called and you have to subscribe to get it.  There is about to be another message sent out over the Code Red system about the water being fixed.

Thanks,

Officer John Dragoo
Anna Police Dept.

I'm pretty sure "reverse 911" is a sex position....  If it isn't, ima make it one real soon.

did the city tell you to boil your water for the first 24 hours? Seems to always be the case with main breaks.

I didn't notice those instructions in the communications sent out.  We never fully lost water pressure, and never saw rusty or brown water after the repair was completed.

We also never drink the water anyways due to the smell and taste on "normal" days.  The only time we do use it, it's for cooking.  We filter it and boil it.

Seems like it's gotten less nasty since we've gotten more rain.
