Private Health Insurance

Anyone have it?  Good price?  My $1500 deductible is getting me down!  And it still costs me $300/month, plus co-pays.  YUCK!

yeah, I would like to hear from people that have private health insurance too.
You know it's sad.  When I had my first little girl it cost me a total of $120...  That's IT!  She is now 4 and her little sister cost me...  $1,000....  $2,000...  Well, let's just say I cant count that high!  ;)

If you can find a good plan let me know as well. My hubby and kids are insured under his insurance at work and I told him to leave me off. To have me join the group policy at his work it would of cost us 798 a month. As it is now, he has to pay 300 dollars for him and the kids. I was not about to cost my family 500 dollars a month.

Being a small business owner I have private insurance from BCBS but it was through Al Alford in Mckinney.  Not a bad price but the deductable sucks.  I recently went in with a bleeding part of my anatomy and after a little cartorizing and glop of salve I was ready for adventure once again.  He said the bumps would get smaller in time and not to use the toilet in #3 anymore.

Ok, don't get pissed at me, but RBO's military medical insurance for the entire family is $460 a year.   8)

So if you are eligible for Tricare Standard, I would recommend it.

And my company PAYS ME $1200 a year NOT to use their medical.

Ah yes. I remember the days of CHAMPUS, since my Dad ended up being an Air Force Lifer (23 years). It now pays for my Mom's MS treatments. Reluctantly, but they still pay.
I'm not sure what, if anything, he pays.

When I joined I signed a contract for free health benefits for me and my family for life!

Did you know Congress has the option of overruling their own contracts?  How cool is that?  It's like...not a contract at all!

So did RBO, isn't that crap?

AND on top of that all you have to do is spend ONE term in Congress and you have free medical for life.

BS! >:(

Yes.  You also get a great retirement package after only one term and get to vote to approve your own freakin' raises.

It's SO frustrating that they get all this stuff and screw the military.   >:(

Screw the military and everyone else, too......Right after my divorce, unemployed, two kids, ZERO child support, I qualified for NO help.  On the other hand, hundreds of other non-educated, multiple-child-bearing, non-job-seeking others got tos of free benefits.  Talk about being screwed.  Look of the Windfall Provision for teachers, too if you love congress.  They took away our Social Security benefits!!!  My mom paid in for YEARS and now only gets 10% of those beenfits back simply because she is a teacher who pays into a teacher retirement plan (which is not optional).
