Okay...so the team leader is out on maternity leave which means I am carrying the whole ELA team by myself. (sigh) One sub, one brand new teacher. (sigh) The first week of school (August 27th), a kids' dad comes in and tells my partner teacher (the brand new one) that he plans to take dd out of school for THREE WEKS for a religious pilgrimmage to Alaska (trying not to laugh, snort...snort). I mean Holy Penguins! Three weeks???
So anyway...he sees me this morning in the hallway and says to me, "So, I just wanted to remind me that dd will be out starting on Monday for three weeks. I hadn't heard anything back from you about her work." Me: HUH?

Turns out, incompetent co-worker has forgotten to tell me about this nice little fact. So, I was up at school until 9:00 (Yes, you read that right...6 1/2 extra hours) getting copies made and lessons that I would normally do with the kids on the whiteboard/overhead written out on paper for her to take with.
Incompetent co-workers suck.
