McKINNEY, Texas (Oct. 15, 2007) — Historic Downtown McKinney is closing off the streets and opening their doors for trick-or-treaters at the annual Scare on the Square on Oct. 31 from 4 - 6 p.m. The evening of fun and fright is presented by McKinney Main Street, Pat Lobb Toyota and the shops in Historic Downtown.

Along with gathering goodies and treats during the trick-or-treating event, participants can enjoy hay rides, costume contests, entertainment and more.

"Scare on the Square is a wonderful event for the entire family to enjoy. We provide a safe and secure environment for children to show off their costumes while going from shop to shop trick-or-treating," said Ty Lake, Director of McKinney Main Street.  "This event continues to grow on an annual basis, and we anticipate seeing more than 3,500 attendees this year,"
