Thoughts? Concerns?

Why so serious?

Its a travesty, really.  A national embarrassment.  A scandal!  First gays in the military, and now underage girls trying to compete in the Olympics?  Ole' Zeus himself must be rallying Ares to his cause as he prepares to deal with this the only way he knows how - WAR! One could, I suppose see this as a pre-cursor to the events which took place in Tom Clancy's book, The Bear and the Dragon that is, using subterfuge as a prelude to hostilities.  I know I hear sabers rattling when I think of those underage Chinese girls.  GO SEW ME A MARTHA STEWART BATHROBE!  From the sweatshops to the parallel bars; You're right - what is the world coming to when they make leotards that small anyway?  Ironic, isn't it.  Ah well.  It won't be the last time.

Obviously, you've spent a lot of time thinking about this. So what do you think about gays in the military since YOU brought it up?

Why so serious?

Not real sure why there would be a minimum age.  I can think of no worse embarrassment than to train for 10 years for an event only to be beaten by someone who wasn't even born 10 years ago.

It's was nice having happy people in the military when I was in!

PS:  Instead of putting "why so serious" at the end of every post why not make it your tag line?

I didn't make it my tag line because it is much much more than that.

I won't go too in depth because I might lose you.

Why so serious?

Forget the underage crap; I want to know why Nastia Liukin got screwed out of her tie for the gold on the uneven bars.  Her routine was better, her dismount was better and her lowest mark was higher than the other girls lowest mark.  Sure seems like alot of favoritism in China...go figure!

Yeah, anyone know the reasoning on the age anyways?  I mean I don't understand why it's there.  But then again I also think it's kinda messed up that they would forge their age to get around it..  Lastly, I wish the Olympics were over already, it's messing up the TV lineup!  Ok, not really, I just can't get into it much at all..

I am going to make up my own sport and win the Gold.
