Where are Pool Passes
« on: February 24, 2009, 02:50:16 PM »
I live in Oak hollow, corner stone, is our hoa, 25 people have never receive a pool pass,(2 years) although they have paid their yearly dues, what are they doing with our money? I hear there is a pool commity, for what?  How can someone tell us, who can come and go into the pool.
if the hoa, is going to do what is right, there should not be no basketball courts, or cars park outside of the garage.

You may have to call Cornerstone for the keys.  We had to chase down a key for us but I know several people who have waited 2+ years for one also.  The pool usually opens in May.

The pool committee is in place just to ensure that everyone just follows the few simple rules that are posted.   You may not think it is fair for someone to tell people who can and can’t use the pool, but those that don’t pay  HOA dues have nothing invested in the pool.   Therefore these people could destroy our pool and never have to pay for the damages.  When the pool committee was formed there were 2 known drug dealers hanging out at our pool with all their druggy friends.  Also there were several people from other parts of Anna dropping their children off with no supervision.  Teenagers were using our bathrooms for sexual activities.  The pool was extremely overcrowded on weekends by others that were not with residents of Oak Hollow.  So therefore the residents of Oak Hollow couldn’t even enjoy their own pool.  There were several people that would have drinking parties that many times became rowdy.    What many people don’t realize is that the insurance companies will not cover a pool that allows alcohol use.  If they found out we had/or allowed drinking at the pool then they would pull our insurance.  If the insurance is pulled then the State of Texas would close our pool.  Is this what you want to see happen?  Do you want your children exposed to drug dealers?  Do you want to be able to have room to even swim in the pool your HOA dues are helping pay for?  I know that as a mom of 3 young children I wouldn’t even go to the pool for a long time due to all these issues.   Hats off to the pool committee for their commitment to making our pool a better place!!!!  At least I could take my children to the pool without having to run into drug dealers, drunks, and we even had room to swim!!!!  So for those that are on the pool committee KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!

I agree with StarWars - there was a year or two that we didn't go at all because it was ridiculous how many people there were at the pool.  It was out of control.  The last couple of years, we have been able to enjoy the pool and I don't let anyone in that does not have a card.

We had some of the same problems (but not nearly as bad) over here in The Falls too.  Once we threatened to take away the pool key of anyone who let in those knocking on the gate without it, and limiting the # of guests per person without a party pass, things got SO much better!
