I just spoke with their church and left my name and number for them to call me. According to the church secretary, they are living with John's folks until they can find a new place to live. This means that they do not have the space to accept furnishings or appliances (or really much of anything). The church is collecting monetary donations to help them, but they were not aware whether or not an fund/account has been set up at a bank somewhere. Maybe we should call Texas Star bank and ask. If the Wade family calls me back, I can try to help them perhaps get a storage unit to collect donations, but I really think they need cash & prayers at this point.

I have received John Wade's phone number from his pastor and left a voicemail for him to call me. I'm hoping that he will call me back to tell me what we can do for them right now (clothes, food, etc) while they are trying to secure another place to live. I will keep you all posted.

I spoke with Mr Wade. They are in greatest need for clothes for their 13 yr old son. Red Cross donated some funds that they used to buy him some things, but they have gotten clothes from their church for themselves. Presley (son) wears size 34/30 pants, and he likes men's XL t-shirts and hoodies. They lost everything, though, so anything you would want to donate will help. They do not have storage space yet for furniture, but they could use all the small household things that you don't normally think about. Mrs. Wade was just thrilled the other day when someone gave her a needle and some thread. Please PM me if you'd like to contact the Wades about making a donation. Thank you!
